Three English brothers join the Foreign Legion. One survives. |

A classic silent adventure with great action sequences for its time, Ronald Colman (pictured) suitably dashing as the hero, and Beery a splendid villain. It's easy to smile at the brothers' Victorian attitudes: it's worth bearing in mind that they were equally out of date in the 1920s. |
