Four separate ballets, narrated by Maurice Chevalier and choreographed by Roland Petit. |
Reviewed by Chris Tookey
|
| Little-known dance film which is not particularly cinematic and never found the audience it deserved, but has interest today as a record of several dancers in their prime. The ballets are The Diamond Cruncher, Cyrano (with Shearer outstanding as Roxanne), A Merry Mourning and Carmen. | |
