No one was ever likely to win a real-life Oscar for this slick piece of commercialism (originally written by Kasdan in 1972 as a vehicle for Steve McQueen). Still, it's undemanding entertainment, Houston sings well, and British director Mick Jackson orchestrates the action and romance with style. A movie which survived adverse reviews to become a big hit.
