Bond (Sean Connery, pictured) thwarts an attack on Ford Knox. |

| | Often regarded as the best Bond film, with a great opening, a well-crafted plot, and an exciting finale as 007 saves the world from financial ruin. Gert Frobe shines as the would-be world dominator with an appetite for gold, and there's a classic heavy in Oddjob (Harold Sakata). Honor Blackman is suitably alluring as Pussy Galore (though her lesbianism is toned down from the novel). The gadgetry - as used here in the famous Aston Martin chase - is now coming into its own, but has not taken over. The sound effects won an Oscar. | | |
