Life and loves of an Italian painter (Nigel Terry). |
Reviewed by Chris Tookey
|
| Derek Jarman’s most pictorially striking film betrays an almost complete lack of interest in the real Caravaggio, or his period, or the things that made him a fine artist. Jarman, as usual, was interested only in his sex-life (totally fictitious, by the way). | |
