| John Ford's memorable, cinematic, much imitated movie. Because it was romantic rather than realistic, it was underrated on release; now it can be appreciated as a mythic masterpiece. Henry Fonda, Victor Mature and Walter Brennan are all much better than OK in the corral - though the film is let down by the female casting. | |
