| Underestimated on release and unsuccessful with the public - possibly because of the plot, which is hard to follow, and the conclusion, which is depressing and cynical. Suspense-filled, and directed with visual imagination by Alan J. Pakula, it is now rightly regarded as a classic conspiracy movie of the 1970s. | |
