Botched is a cheapo horror movie that regrettably lives down to its title. Stephen Dorff stars as a professional thief who gets trapped on the thirteenth floor of a Russian skyscraper, with gruesome consequences.

This tries to be a black comedy in the style of Severance, The Cottage or Black Sheep; but the lumbering, humourless Dorff doesn’t appear to be in on the joke. The special effects are often laughable, and not in a good way.

By the time Ivan the Terrible appears, you’ll either be rolling your eyes in disbelief, or you’ll already have left.
